You've set your PS5 to transcode all audio content from the original bitstream to Linear PCM 7.1, which is why the S2 app shows the final audio codec as Multichannel PCM. You would imagine we'd only have to fiddle around with the main PS5 sound settings, but nope.they include a "hidden" secondary setting that can only be accessed while the blu-ray is playing via the Options button. Shame on Sony for making it super difficult and unintuitive just to enable Dolby Atmos. The key point was to enable "Bitstream" within that secondary settings menu that can be accessed from the PS5 controller "Options" button while playing the blu-ray disc. Take note this is for my use-case with the Sonos Arc sound bar and LG C1 OLED TV, so settings may vary slightly depending on the manufacturer and/or sound device. When I tested the Sonos Arc earlier with a Dolby Atmos test track, the Sonos app would correctly show "Dolby Atmos," so I'm guessing that "Multichannel PCM 7.1" is just generic surround audio? I want to watch this with Dolby Atmos, but when playing the movie, the Sonos app shows the sound as "Multichannel PCM 7.1" - this isn't Dolby Atmos, is it? So I want to watch Game of Thrones 4K UHD HDR blu-ray disc on my PS5 which is outputting sound to a Sonos Arc via HDMI (eARC) connected to my LG C1 OLED TV.
